In our last blog post, we highlighted the four biggest problems our target market in the land development industry is facing and came up with our mission statement. In this article, we would like to give a brief overview on how we would like to solve these:
Document Sharing Throughout the Entire Project
We provide web-based and mobile apps that store all project related documents on Amazon’s super secure servers making them available for all stakeholders at any stage of the project, automatically organized by project name and document type. Emails get sent to other project stakeholders if new documents get added or old ones get updated so that everyone is notified. This means you shouldn’t hear “I never saw that” anymore.
Double or Triple Data Entry Wastes Everyone’s Time
Since all stakeholders have accounts on ContractComplete, and all the documents are easily generated on our software, there is no need for secondary data entry and transcribing numbers. Just review, add a couple specifics (like the desired date and document name) and click a button to generate your change order. Then send it out for digital signatures and voila, it’s added to the body of the contract as a change order and can be invoiced by the contractor. Same goes for payment certificates. Please try our savings calculator to see how much you could save by using ContractComplete. I know what you’re thinking… “what are you going to do with all that free time?” ;).
Emails Often go Unanswered and Require Several Follow-ups.
In the future, we will work to change this with a concept we call the FaultVault. Procrastinators beware! Once implemented, if your responses take longer than an agreed upon maximum period, they will enter the FaultVault for all stakeholders to see. We don’t want to hang people in the town square, we simply want to keep people accountable so that your land development projects don’t delay. I hope you agree.
Software as a service: Pay per user? Large upfront cost? Big training cost?
No, no and no. All you pay for access to the entire platform is a one time fee per project post-tender. Alternatively, if you use ContractComplete for eTendering, the bidders pay a fee to submit their bid and the system is free for all stakeholders (land developer, consultant, and contractor) for the remainder of the project.
According to Verne Harnish, author of The Rockefeller Habits, once companies pass the $10M/year milestone they quickly realize they need systems and processes to keep their people organized and streamline operations. So they invest in software, servers, more filing cabinets, mobile devices, laptops, etc. then design and implement standard operating procedures to “keep things organized”. When executed properly this greatly improves the business’ ability to communicate, share information and collaborate with team members. We’ve designed a tool to help you accomplish this for the part of your business that deals with tendering and post-tendering contract administration.
